Team-based cyber range · King of the Hill + CTF

Hold the Crown. Prove it with evidence.

Red attacks, Blue defends, and the scoreboard is computed from a tamper-evident ledger, not opinions. Built as a tournament for colleges.

How a match works: two teams, one network, one ledger

  1. 01

    One live range, two teams

Red and Blue play on the same simulated network at the same time.

  2. 02

    Crown control plus objectives

Control of the Crown Asset is scored continuously. Discrete CTF objectives add to it.

  3. 03

    Scored on evidence

Verifiers and telemetry decide every point, and the match can be replayed from the ledger.

Features

Evidence-based scoring
Points come from a hash-chained, append-only ledger. Player claims don't count.
Side-swapped rounds
Each match is two rounds, and the teams swap sides between them.
Concurrent matches
Many matches can run at once, each on its own isolated range.
Replayable timelines
Step back through a match for the post-match debrief.
Teacher-run events
Students join with a callsign only, so we hold no personal data about them.
Randomized scenarios
Each exercise is randomized per run. The first scenario is "SOHO Compromise".

Synthetic targets, built by us

Every target is intentionally vulnerable and made by us for the exercise. Nothing touches real systems.

  • Each match runs on its own isolated range
  • Egress is denied: nothing on the range can reach the internet
